Lesson Plan for Ser/Estar, vocabulary for Unit One

Steven Johnson, Instructor Beginning Spanish

Objective:  Students learn to use Ser and Estar , as well learn the vocabulary

                  from unit one. 

Materials:  Computer with internet connection, power-point presentation,

                  online exercises designed provide students with practice. 

Procedures:  Students will access the ALA Beginning Spanish class page:

                 http://www.quia.com/pages/alabeginningspanish.html

                 After reading the class page, they will view the power point

                 presentation to strengthen their knowledge of the different uses

                 of the verbs ser and estar. 

                 The students will visit the page several times to complete the

                 exercises provided, both in verb practice, and unit one vocabulary.

Evaluation:  The online exercises provide the students with instant feedback

                   in terms of their performance.  Students will also be informally

                   evaluated in class by the instructor, at the end of the week.
